Implementing Analytics Solutions Using Microsoft Fabric

The DP-600 certification validates expertise in implementing analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric. It covers preparing and transforming data using lakehouses and warehouses, implementing and managing semantic models with DAX, configuring security and governance, and maintaining the analytics development lifecycle. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with SQL, KQL, and Data Analysis Expressions.

This certification is designed for analytics engineers and data professionals who design, create, and manage enterprise-scale analytical assets in Microsoft Fabric. It is ideal for experienced Power BI or data platform professionals who are expanding their skills to the unified Fabric analytics platform including lakehouses, warehouses, and semantic models.

The exam consists of 40–60 questions to be completed in approximately 100 minutes (120 minutes if labs are included). Question types include multiple-choice, multiple-select, drag-and-drop, and hot area formats. Questions are heavily scenario-based, testing your ability to choose correct data transformation approaches, DAX calculations, and Fabric workspace configurations. Expect questions that require knowledge of SQL, KQL, and DAX.

This exam requires hands-on Fabric experience. Candidates familiar only with traditional Power BI who haven't worked with Fabric lakehouses, warehouses, and Direct Lake connectivity often struggle with the new platform concepts.
